It's really hard to believe that online casino gambling is more favorable and got 1 million more visitors than those who visits Facebook and other social media sites, when it seems "everyone" knows Facebook and twitter these days.
Well, it is proved to be the fact according to recent research by Nielson Media.
It finds that online casinos gambling are more popular than social networking is in the UK. (I personally would be interested to know how the stats would be in Canada and US.)
In 2009, Nielson Media found that 3.2 million people visited various online gaming sites, a 40% increase from year 2008. Research shows that only 2.2 million people visited Facebook or other social networking sites online.
Research also reveals the demographic data of those online casino players. Only to surprisingly find that not like what most believed in the past, online casinos now get more middle-aged man, well educated, from high earning household. And almost half of the active players are females.
